What is the Cost of Membership?

 

Stock purchase - $1350.00 – due within two weeks of being notified that a membership is available. This amount will be returned to you upon termination of your membership.

Initiation fee - $300.00 – one time fee paid by all new members. This is due within two weeks of being notified that a membership is available.

Annual dues - $750.00 - for a stockholder with dependents - $375.00 for a stockholder without dependents. A dependent is anyone (spouse, children) other than you. This is due by May 1st of each year.

 


When are Memberships Issued?

 

Memberships are issued year-round.


How does the Membership Process work?

Complete the membership application and send it along with a check made payable to Sudley Club, to the name/address located top/left of the membership application (“Return to”). The application will then go to the Sudley Club Board of Directors for approval and you will then be placed on the waiting list. Once you are on the waiting list you will remain there until a membership becomes available for you – you do not need to reapply each year.

 

When a membership becomes available, you will be notified by the Club Secretary. He/she will arrange a time, within two weeks, to have you sign for your stock. At that time you will pay for the stock and initiation fee, less the $100 submitted with your application. If this date occurs after April 15th, or during the summer months, the annual dues will also be collected at that time. If you receive your membership after the pool has opened, the annual dues for new members are prorated as follows:

  • Prior to July 5  100%
  • July 5 – August 1  67%
  • August 1 to pool closing  33%
  • After Labor Day  No Charge

The application:

  • The application must be completed in its entirety. Incomplete forms will be returned to the applicant for completion
  • A $100 check must be mailed with the application.
  • All applicants must include a current Sudley Club member as one of their personal references.
  • Credit References – anywhere you have credit. Examples: your bank, Loan Company, Credit Card Company, etc. You should include the company name, address, and phone number for each credit reference.

The Sudley membership applications can be found on the Sudey Web site 'Forms & Info' section or you can e-mail the Sudley Club Secretary.


How do I Terminate my Membership?

To terminate your membership, endorse your stock certificate anywhere on the back, and mail it to either the Club P.O. Box or the Club Secretary. Once your stock has been reissued to the next person on the waiting list, you will receive a check for the stock value ($1350.00). If you are moving, please be sure to include a note with the address where the check should be mailed.

In the event that you cannot find your stock certificate, notify the Club Secretary. He/she will send you a Lost Stock Affidavit. This form should be completed, notarized, and returned. It will be processed as stated above.
